Pretty hard to top David Douglas' earlier review of "For the Sake of Love" as a fellow, more discerning, musician [than me], but as I was Fuzz surfing I came across your request for opinions from the Fuzzy people [presumably of all sorts], so here goes:

Typically, I'm not one to focus on lyrics. For me, they're there, they're a vehicle for the melody but they're rarely a deal breaker on whether or not I like a song. I've generally bought into "when the word's don't get in the way" sort of mindset.
But this song is all about the lyrics for me. They're beautiful, and tragic, and heart-wrenching, and incredible. Which is good because this song isn't much to write home about musically...
